The most common question after purchase: How much do I take, and how often? The answer depends on where and how you use lipasanF®. This guide covers all common use cases – with specific quantity details.
Basic rules for all applications
- Always dilute: Never apply lipasanF® undiluted. Minimum 1:10 with lukewarm water (max. 40 °C).
- No hot water: Bacteria die at temperatures above 80 °C. Never dose into boiling hot water or use directly after the dishwasher.
- No chlorine: Wait at least 30 minutes after using chlorine-containing cleaners. Better yet: avoid them entirely.
- Apply in the evening: The culture works most effectively without dilution by dishwater. Use as the last step of the day, then add lipasanF®.
- Patience: First results after 3–7 days. Full effect after 4–8 weeks.
Household: Kitchen drain and bathroom
Startup phase (first 5 days)
Dilute 150–200 ml of lipasanF® with 1.5–2 liters of lukewarm water. Pour into the drain every evening. For 5 days.
Maintenance dose
Afterwards: 100–150 ml + 1 liter of water, once per month. This is sufficient to keep the colony alive and continuously break down fat.
What size do I need?
0.5 L is sufficient for one drain for approx. 2–3 months. 1 L for one drain for approx. 5 months or for two drains for approx. 2.5 months. Details on the household page →
Gastronomy: Grease trap and kitchen drains
Initial application (one-time)
500 ml–1 L lipasanF® diluted directly into the grease trap, plus an additional 200 ml in each main drain. Ideally on the weekend or after closing time with a contact time of at least 8 hours.
Weekly maintenance dose
100–300 ml per main drain (depending on business size), 200–500 ml into the grease trap. After the last rinse cycle of the day.
Rule of thumb based on business size
| Business | Weekly requirement | Annual requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Bistro / Snack Bar (< 20 seats) | 200–300 ml | approx. 12–15 L |
| Small restaurant (20–50 seats) | 400–600 ml | approx. 20–30 L |
| Medium restaurant (50–100 seats) | 700 ml–1 L | approx. 40–50 L |
Property management: Riser pipes and collector pipes
Initial application
1–2 L diluted per Riser pipe, apply directly into the inspection shaft or house connection. In case of acute blockage, clear mechanically beforehand.
Monthly maintenance dose
500 ml–1 L per riser pipe, diluted, once per month. Can be performed by the caretaker or an authorized service provider.
Rule of thumb based on residential units
| Residential units | Monthly requirement | Annual requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 3–6 units | 500 ml–1 L | 6–12 L |
| 6–12 units | 1–2 L | 12–24 L |
| 12–20 units | 2–3 L | 24–36 L |

Common mistakes in dosage
Underdosing: Die häufigste Ursache, wenn lipasanF® „nicht wirkt“. Die Kolonie braucht eine Mindestmenge, um sich zu etablieren.
Too hot: Dosing immediately after rinsing while steam is still rising risks killing the bacteria.
Simultaneously with chlorine cleaner: Chlorine kills the microorganisms – after this, you have to start all over again.
Too impatient: If you give up after 3 days, you haven't completed the initial phase. Wait at least 5 days, preferably 2 weeks, before evaluating results.
